Access to the required information in all available scientific disciplines is one of the most important factors in the survival of that field. In the architecture field, the type of information format differs from other disciplines. The purpose of this study was to identify the behavior of images in the architecture of Shahid Beheshti University. The present study is an applied target and uses a descriptive survey method. The statistical population of the study consists of two groups of students and professors in the architecture major of Shahid Beheshti University. To determine the sample size, the Cochran formula was used and the sample size in this formula was 296 people. The results showed that the architects mainly used images for identifying creative ideas and taking advantage of the details of architectural structures. The type of image content they used was mostly photos, maps, and charts, which could be found in engines and image databases by limiting the size of the image and following related links as long as the image was taken. One of the major obstacles in finding images for architects was the lack of familiarity with the way they were searched. Creativity, proximity to the subject, credibility, and quality of the images were the criteria for selecting content. Considering the library's share in retrieving research-based images, it is suggested that library and library librarians conduct awareness-raising activities at the university's research groups such as brochures, conferences, library visits, and workshops.

The present study offers a comparative analysis with exploration approach among university library websites in Iran and United States from standpoint user engagement via social medias. Descriptive survey method was used in this study. Websites composed of 21 academic university library websites in Iran and 16 academic university library websites in United states (37 websites) were investigated by direct observation using analytical database “similarweb“ during 3 months (February up to April 2019). Findings showed that in United States, 100% of the total university library websites attracted users through social media, compared to 19% in Iran. The number of users clicking or visiting the website of the university library via social media in Iran was 3% of the total number of users visiting the library's website. This figure in United States was up to 1% (Except for the MIT University libraries that the number was 11%). Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, Researchgate and Pinterest were the top media that university library websites in United States had user engagement through them.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is a survey of the relationship between cognitive and metacognitive strategies and information seeking behavior among the faculty members in Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization (AREEO). The method of this study is descriptive survey – relationship and data are collected by 2 questionnaires; one is learning and studying strategies questionnaire and the other is information seeking behavior questionnaires. The research community consists of all faculty members in Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization (N= 2012) and the sample of this study size is determined by Morgan table (N=322) and probability stratified sampling is used as a sampling method. Descriptive and analytical statistical methods are used to study the questions. The results indicate that the correlation coefficient between cognitive strategies with information seeking behavior among the faculty members is r=0/065, and according to p=0/24, that means, there is not a significant relationship. The correlation coefficient between metacognitive strategies with information seeking behavior among the faculty members is r=0/128 and accordingly the value is p=0/02, that means there is statistically significant relationship. Finally, this study indicates that increasing metacognitive strategies among the faculty members can increase their information seeking behavior.
