Abstract
The purpose of this study is investigating the status of deployment of knowledge management components to develop the drought crisis management plans in Kerman province with considering the agricultural beneficiaries’ viewpoint.
This research was an applied one and it was done with a descriptive approach. The research sample includes 384 people from agricultural beneficiaries of Kerman Province who were chosen using the random stratified sampling method according to the Morgan’s table. The research data were gathered using questionaries, to analyse the data SPSS22 and Excel software were used. The research findings show that among the components of knowledge management, “knowing your own information, knowledge and skills in regarding to drought crisis management plans”, “being aware of the experiences and skills of other beneficiaries”, “new knowledge and experiences lead to better and more effective implementation of drought crisis management plans”, “encouraging others to pass on their experiences and knowledge especially about drought crisis management plans”, “using beneficiaries’ experiences in the execution process of drought crisis management plans” and “the past information and experiences help with today’s needs and decision making about drought crisis management plans” had the highest ranks. According to the studies, among the researches conducted on knowledge management, no research and study has been previously done about using knowledge management in line with the development of drought crisis management plans which shows the innovation of the present research. Research results showed that the knowledge identification component had the greatest impact on the development of drought crisis management plans and the knowledge development component had the lowest status.
