PurposeUsers' mental image of public libraries reflects their living experience in these places. The accurate understanding of the mental image can help to make accurate and effective policies. This study sought to re-investigate the public library mental image from the perspective of Iranian users.Design/methodology/approachThis research is qualitative research. Semi-structured interview method was used to collect data. In this study to analyze collected data the grounded theory has been considered as the main method. In total, 106 interviews with public library users were conducted in 11 provinces. The collected data were coded in 3 steps. The MAX QDA software was used to encode data. Sampling continued until saturation of the concepts, and finally, after receiving the 106th interview the sampling was completed.FindingsFrom the analysis of the interviews, 131 open codes, 49 primary categories, 20 categories, 10 axial codes were obtained. Results gained in this research shed light on users believe that the library is a place to acquire knowledge as well as a place to spend their leisure time. Also findings revealed the libraries space have not enough harmony. It seems that the negative alignment of user-librarian causes the user reluctance to go to the library. Originality/valueAlthough significant quantitative research has been done on user studies of public libraries, but the qualitative approach has been neglected. In addition, the emphasis on understanding the user's mental image distinguished this research from other research.

IntroductionIn today's era, public libraries have become one of the largest knowledge production bases with various sources and references, whose efficient management can have a significant impact on the development of users' information literacy. In addition, the problems and challenges caused by the accelerated speed of production and distribution of knowledge and information in the last two decades have prompted public libraries to use the knowledge of organizations to develop new and appropriate tools.. In this regard, what has attracted the attention of information science and epistemology experts is the knowledge management system, which has found a prominent role and importance in libraries. In this context, it is concluded that knowledge has been accumulated in a wide way in the sources and references of libraries as well as in the experiences of librarians; therefore, the necessary ground for exploiting this knowledge and experiences in order to improve the information literacy of users should be provided. In this way, the question of the present research is what is the efficient model for establishing knowledge management in public libraries in order to improve users' information literacy?Literature ReviewDalkir (2011) collected the different cycles of knowledge management that have been identified, confirmed, and practically implemented by different researchers and summarized them in four general stages, which are: 1- acquiring and creating knowledge, 2- sharing and disseminating knowledge, 3- applying and reusing knowledge, and 4- evaluating and retrieving knowledge. Because the knowledge management cycle offered by Dalkir has empirical support and has been successfully used by different libraries, the current research has also used the mentioned cycle.Several models have been introduced to measure information literacy, but since the model of eight enablers was more compatible with the cultural situation and local conditions of developing countries, including Iran, therefore, in the current research, it is practical to measure the information literacy of library users. Public funds of Khuzestan province were used. This model includes eight steps of identification, exploration, selection, organization, creation, presentation, evaluation and application of knowledge and information.MethodologyThe current research has been done using the metacomposite technique and the Delphi technique. By implementing the six meta-composition steps, 94 components of knowledge management and 80 components of information literacy were extracted from 150 articles and categorized by content analysis technique. With the formation of the expert group and the three-step implementation of the Delphi technique, a consensus was reached among the expert members on 45 components of knowledge management and 40 components of information literacy, and based on the approved components, two separate questionnaires were created for data collection. Data were compiled and collected from librarians and users of public libraries in Khuzestan province. To measure the validity of the questionnaires, the agreement coefficient of the expert group was estimated at 0.772 for the knowledge management questionnaire and 0.794 for the information literacy questionnaire. Cronbach's alpha method was also used to measure reliability. The alpha value of the knowledge management questionnaire was estimated at 0.979 and the alpha value of the information literacy questionnaire was estimated at 0.982. The statistical population of the research included 284 librarians on the one hand, and 45,582 active users over 18 years old of public libraries in Khuzestan province on the other hand. To determine the sample size, using Cochran's formula, 181 librarians and 497 users were selected. ResultsThe results of the research showed that the average implementation of knowledge management in the public libraries of Khuzestan province was %60.10, which is higher than the average. Also, the average information literacy of public library users in Khuzestan province was %54.57, which was also higher than the average. The results of the research hypotheses test showed that the implementation of the "knowledge acquisition process" in public libraries with a coefficient of 0.84 has been effective in improving the information literacy of users. The implementation of the "knowledge sharing" process in public libraries has had an impact on the information literacy of users with a coefficient of 0.92. Implementation of the process of "use of knowledge" in public libraries has had an effect on the information literacy of users with a coefficient of 0.88. The implementation of the "Knowledge Evaluation" process in public libraries has had an effect on the information literacy of users with a coefficient of 0.84. Finally, the "Implementation of knowledge management technology" in public libraries of Khuzestan province has had an impact on users' information literacy by % 51.DiscussionPublic libraries need to use new and appropriate tools in order to achieve their most important goal of existence, which is to develop knowledge and information literacy skills of the society. Because now these libraries have become important learning centers; where knowledge management is one of the main activities related to their new role. In the growing space of knowledge management, public libraries can no longer limit their activities to organizing collections; rather, with efficient and effective management, research and development of knowledge, creation of knowledge base, exchange and sharing of knowledge between employees and users, providing users access to information resources and especially online resources, explicit knowledge processing and tacit knowledge acquisition and realization focus on sharing them.ConclusionThe present research has shown that knowledge management technology in public libraries can be effective in improving the information literacy of users. Therefore, the current research has proposed the four-stage model of Dal-Kir, which had successful experimental records, in order to properly implement and establish knowledge management. Also, in order to accurately measure the level of information literacy of users in public libraries, the current study has proposed an information literacy model of eight enablers that is more compatible with the cultural environment of our country.AcknowledgmentsThe authors of this study express their gratitude to all the managers and officials of the public libraries of Khuzestan province who have cooperated in conducting this study.

1. IntroductionPublic libraries are among the essential pillars of a democratic society, serving as symbols of social progress and civil pride in the pursuit of lifelong learning. As these libraries cater to various segments of society, trained and knowledgeable personnel, referred to as librarians or information specialists, play a crucial role in identifying and meeting users' information needs. In line with their responsibilities towards different societal groups, they must adapt their service delivery methods concurrently with societal advancements. Today, with recent technological advancements, achieving this requires librarians to primarily possess digital literacy.2. Literature ReviewGiven recent technological advancements, it has been established that primarily, librarians must possess digital literacy skills. On the other hand, previous research indicates that most managers believe a precise understanding of personality traits is crucial in management science because individuals' personality structures significantly influence their perception, evaluation, and response to the environment (Rostami et al., 2009). One of the most effective and comprehensive theories proposed regarding personality is the Five-Factor Model by Costa and McCrae (1992). According to this theory, the personality structure comprises hierarchical dimensions of Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness. Conscientiousness, or Dutifulness, is at the highest level and can be broken down into lower-level facets or traits. Additionally, studies show that digital literacy skills correlate with various managerial dimensions, highlighting the significance of identifying the personality structure of human resources, particularly in organizations. According to White (2002), personality traits can be utilized to predict behaviors and job performance of individuals. Since public libraries are among the centers that, in comparison to other types of libraries, serve as crucial informational hubs to various segments of society, they are considered one of the most significant cultural bases. Therefore, in this regard, the personality of librarians can undoubtedly be influential. Their manner of interaction can play a pivotal role in attracting users to libraries. Therefore, this research aims to determine the relationship between personality traits and digital literacy skills among librarians in public libraries of a practical nature, employing a survey method.3. MethodologyData collection involved using two questionnaires: the McCrae and Costa personality traits questionnaire and the digital literacy skills questionnaire. The statistical population of this research comprised 170 librarians from public libraries in Kermanshah province, with a sample size of 118, determined using Morgan's table. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the SPSS software.4. ResultsThe correlation coefficient between personality traits and digital literacy skills was positive and equal to 0.48, indicating a moderate correlation between these two variables. Furthermore, the correlation coefficients between the personality traits of Neuroticism, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Openness to Experience, and Conscientiousness with digital literacy skills were positive, and based on the regression line slope in the scatterplot, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism had the greatest to least impact on this relationship, respectively.5. DiscussionThe results of the present study revealed that the most influential trait in digital literacy is neuroticism. Perhaps one of the major reasons for the significant relationship between neuroticism and digital literacy is the presence of strong and face-to-face interactions with visitors, high motivation, and attention to career advancement. It's possible that one of the reasons many librarians gravitate towards digital literacy skills is to find relief from obsessive thoughts, anxiety, and life stresses. Another reason could be that the virtual world serves as an escape for librarians from stress, fear, and life difficulties. Therefore, it can be said that personality traits, particularly neuroticism, predict librarians' use or non-use of digital literacy skills. Consequently, individuals high in neuroticism may be attracted to and develop a habit of acquiring digital literacy skills due to the presence of these traits and their inability to cope with such problems, seemingly helping them overcome feelings of loneliness, boredom, and inadequacy.6. ConclusionIn conclusion, the findings of this research provide a clear representation of the relationship and role of librarians' personality traits in digital literacy skills. It is essential for librarians to become aware of their weaknesses in terms of digital literacy skills and take the initiative to enhance their knowledge in this area. Digital literacy skills undoubtedly assist librarians in this regard. If librarians lack sufficient digital literacy skills, they will not be able to provide better services to users based on modern search techniques and information retrieval methods.

IntroductionPersonal knowledge management (PKM) discusses self-efficacy and making people more valuable to the organization, thus creating more value for each employee. Public libraries are one of the service organizations in the society. The application of knowledge management strategies in a knowledge-based institution such as a public library, which is engaged in the supply of knowledge, has a double importance. The use of knowledge management (KM) helps knowledge-based organizations such as libraries to turn the knowledge in organizations into a permanent resource. Investigating the PKM of public library employees can lead to more productivity of employees. Accordingly, the present study investigates the relationship between the PKM of public library librarians and the productivity of human resources in these libraries.Literature ReviewA review of the conducted research shows that one of the influencing factors on employee productivity is PKM. An operational definition of participation in PKM is that PKM is an individual's perception of knowledge that involves the degree of participation in the organization's knowledge management (OKM) activities (Tseng and Fan, 2011). PKM ensures that people acquire, create, and share knowledge, and by influencing the KM architecture, it improves decision-making, efficiency, and productivity. (Butt; Nawa; Hussain; Sousa; Wang; Sumbal, Muhammad Saleem & Shujahat, 2019; Shujahat; Razzaq; Wang; & Durst, 2019). There is a positive relationship between KM and employee productivity. In other words, productivity is a direct result of KM (Shoujahat et al., 2019). Hence, PKM participation, as an aspect or a micro-component of KM, should affect productivity (But et al., 2019). MethodologyThe type of research is descriptive-analytical based on the basic purpose and method of data collection. The statistical population of this study includes all employees of public libraries in Khuzestan province in 2020 (378 people) who were selected as a statistical sample of the research by simple random sampling method and with the help of Cochran's table. To collect data, Mahmoudi and Bagheri’s questionnaire (2013) in the field of personal knowledge management and Hershey and Goldsmith’s questionnaire (1980) in the field of human resource productivity have been used. In this study, a one-sample t-test to determine the significance of differences between variables, a Pearson correlation test to examine the presence or absence of a relationship between two variables, and a two-sample independent t-test and variance test in SPSS software 24 have been used.ResultsConsidering the effect of KM on organizational performance, librarians manage their learning and increase information literacy and continuous learning in order to maintain their position and the organization. The results of this research showed that the librarians of the public libraries of Khuzestan province in all aspects of PKM (self-learning evaluation, self-learning management, information literacy, Exploration skills, Network of knowledge assistants, knowledge awareness, perception skills, creative skills, collaborative skills, interest variation and personal knowledge management) are at an optimal level. The feeling of wanting to grow and progress in the workplace leads employees to self-learning, self-evaluation and adaptation to the work environment. In this regard, the results obtained regarding the variable of productivity of human resources of librarians show that the dimensions of ability, feedback, credibility, and adaptability, related to the variable of productivity of human resources are at a favorable level. Other dimensions such as understanding and recognition, organizational support, and motivation are not at a favorable level. Investigating the relationship between human resource productivity and PKM of public library librarians in Khuzestan province, the results show that the dimensions of ability, understanding and recognition, and adaptability have a positive and significant relationship with PKM. However, other dimensions such as organizational support, motivation, feedback, and credit are not related to PKM. Also, there is a positive and significant relationship between the dimensions of PKM and human resource productivity, only in the dimensions of skill and exploration, knowledge awareness, and collaborative skill. In other dimensions, there is no relationship between these two variables.DiscussionBased on the results of this research, PKM plays a significant role in the productivity of human resources in public libraries. Considering the effect of KM on the productivity of the organizational force, librarians should try to manage their learning and increase information literacy and continuous learning in order to maintain their position and the organization. The present research was conducted for the first time among the employees of public libraries in Khuzestan province.

IntroductionToday various indicators have been introduced to explain the status of a civilization, but the most important indicator is the ability to contain a crisis or manage a crisis. At different times, crises, natural disasters, and epidemics are an inevitable fact in the whole world. In addition to causing extensive and sometimes irreparable damages, crises hinder organizational goals and delay the achievement of organizational mission. As cultural and educational institutions, public libraries are not immune from the damage of crises, and various events such as floods, earthquakes, political unrest, epidemics, etc., with the negative impact of libraries, cause the stagnation of these centers. In the current research, only the crisis caused by the coronavirus or COVID-19 is considered and the consequences of the emergence of this disease on library services are investigated.
Literature ReviewSome researchers have investigated the role of groups, non-profit communities or institutions that cooperate with libraries in the COVID-19 crisis. Among these studies is the research of Kim, Choi & Jung (2020). Some studies have also been done focusing on the role of librarians in the COVID-19 crisis. Okike (2020) has examined the role of librarians in information dissemination during the COVID-19 crisis. In April 2020, the Royal Public Library Advisory Association of Georgia published an article entitled Recommendations for Library Services During the Covid-19 Pandemic, in which useful information regarding the requirements of the work environment and crisis management in libraries has been explained. Some researchers also studied the measures and services of libraries and information centers. Erich (2020) by examining 41 public, academic, and specialized libraries in Romania, measured the condition of these libraries, and how they reacted and adapted to the COVID-19 crisis. The review of previous studies shows that overcoming the crisis and its management has always been the concern of researchers and organizations, and this issue has been much more important in the case of the emerging, sudden, and surprising crisis of COVID-19 because there is little experience about this disease.
MethodologyThe present research was carried out in an exploratory way and with the method of observation and narrative review of researchers' works, search and observation of the performance, activities, and actions of public libraries in Iran and the world in facing the Corona crisis, and because this method emphasizes non-experientiality, therefore the researcher only searched and observed the environment and conditions without manipulating the variables. In order to obtain information and collect data required for research, two citation databases, Web of Science and Scopus, Google Scholar and Google databases, and three internal databases, Maghiran, Noormags, and comprehensive humanities portal with the keywords "crisis", "Crisis Management", "COVID-19", "Coronavirus", "Public Libraries" and their English equivalents were searched by the researcher. In addition, more than 15 websites or library portals were also checked. In terms of the time frame of the publications of the last year (late 2019 to 2020) when the coronavirus appeared in this time frame, the content was studied and reviewed.
ResultsSince the types of crises and the effects they have on societies are different, therefore, it is not possible to propose the same strategic measures to manage or deal with them. The measures used for floods, fires, or earthquakes are not the answer to the problems caused by the Corona crisis. Some experts have presented a general model for crisis management, and some have presented special models for a specific crisis due to the differences between crises. The Shobari model (2015), the Leechat model, the model of the US Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the model provided by the National Defense Organization were examined in this research. The cycle of crisis management includes the four stages of preparation, prevention, confrontation, and reconstruction. These steps are present in all models of crisis management. Therefore, the researcher has also used these basic steps to design the crisis management model of COVID-19. Also, this model is defined and designed in three phases before the crisis, during the crisis, and after the crisis.
ConclusionThe basic benefits and values in the management of the COVID-19 crisis and its goal and purpose for libraries and information centers are to meet the information needs and satisfaction of users. Therefore, in this research, an attempt was made to present a complete model in accordance with the current state of public libraries by examining the dimensions of this problem. This model was designed and presented in three phases before the crisis, at the beginning of the crisis, and after the crisis. In all three stages of the COVID-19 crisis management model presented in this research, the element of information plays the first and very important role. With sufficient information and its proper management by information science specialists and librarians, the critical situation can be controlled to a large extent. Regarding the model presented in the current research, it can be said that this model is a conceptual model because it symbolically presents a mental image of a series of concepts related to the disease of COVID-19 in public libraries. This model has organized almost all the information of the past researches and while reflecting the fundamental aspects of crisis management, it has summarized the differentiating activities and measures regarding the COVID-19 disease, and in the form of a fully functional template that is in line with the current conditions of the library, has provided the public services of our country.

1.Introduction Knowledge is the axis of value creation in today's organizations. Knowledge management as a strategic capital of an organization is considered the most important organizational advantage. On the other hand, the importance of sharing the experiences of librarians to each other in order to perform their professional duties, shows the role of knowledge transfer and sharing methods among librarians. These days, improving the performance of the organization is a response from an organization to face the challenges that arise from the rapid global transformations. From the organization's point of view, this challenge includes responding to the needs of customers and providing goods or services with a high degree of efficiency and in an efficient and effective manner. From the perspective of organizational members, this challenge includes improving the quality of work life. So that the organization is a pleasant and satisfying place for work and effort. This paper examines the state of knowledge sharing among managers and librarians of public libraries in the city of Ahvaz. Every organization has its own culture, which is influenced by the culture of the organization's people. In this research, it has tried to measure the effect of culture on knowledge sharing in the form of components such as competition, motivation, support, cooperation, trust, etc.Research questions are:What is the culture of knowledge sharing among the employees (librarians and managers) of Ahvaz public libraries? What are the different methods of sharing knowledge among the employees (librarians and managers) of public libraries in Ahvaz? What is the status of information and communication technologies for sharing knowledge among public libraries in Ahvaz? Literature Review Literature review shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between organizational culture and knowledge sharing in many studies. For example, a study by Burnette (2017) aims to explore the nature of tacit knowledge (TK) sharing among library colleagues, with a focus on the characteristics of TK and contextual factors such as organizational culture or the mentor/mentee relationship. Three thematic areas emerged. First are the influence of organizational culture and the importance of trust in knowledge sharing behavior. Second, the value of teamwork and the significance of mentor/mentee roles surface as significant drivers of TK exchange. Last but not least is a better understanding of the nature of TK, as it relates to types of knowledge and characterizations of experience and expertise. Methodology This is an applied research and has been done by survey. The statistical population was all employees (managers and librarians) of public libraries in Ahvaz City and the implementation time was 2022. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect data, and the content validity of the questionnaire was obtained by experts' opinion and its reliability using Cronbach's alpha (0.90) and dividing it into two halves (0.85). In analyzing the questionnaire data, descriptive statistics techniques were used for demographics, and techniques such as one-sample t-test and Friedman's rank average test were used for the questionnaire's inferential questions. ResultsIn terms of the components of sharing culture, the competition between employees for sharing knowledge with the highest average (3.16) has the best status, and the managers' motivation to share knowledge with other libraries is the lowest with an average of 2.70. Also, the state of knowledge sharing in terms of different methods of knowledge sharing shows that the most favorable state is related to courses and workshops with an average of 3.55, followed by the enterprise resource planning (ERP) with 3.51, as well as the quality of personal communication and informal among librarians with an average of 3.26. The findings show the status of knowledge sharing and communication technology from the point of view of the managers and librarians of public libraries in the city. For instance, while training courses and workshops and personal and informal communication between librarians, as well as administrative automation are good, other things such as employee performance and the culture of knowledge sharing are less favorable. Cases were found where there was a lack of awareness of the importance of knowledge sharing and a lack of organizational support. Conclusion The results of the current research show that information and communication technology and then knowledge-sharing methods are in a more suitable situation than the categories of employee behavior and knowledge-sharing culture. According to the findings regarding the knowledge-sharing methods, where Friedman's test was used, the highest average rating was given to the method of sharing and exchanging knowledge from courses and workshops with an average rating of 9.63 with a deviation of 0.78. The next ranks were administrative automation system with an average rank of 9.43 and personal and informal communication between librarians with an average rank of 8.46. Finally, the knowledge management system with an average rating of 5.36, publications and bulletins with an average rating of 5.30, and public libraries with an average rating of 4.67, have the lowest average, which should be used by examining the problem of the degree of its solution. Overall, this study shows there is a need to improve information technology and the culture of knowledge sharing.

IntroductionWith the increasing expansion of commercial spaces and Libraries should make the most of this event and adapt to it, and considering that one of the major and perhaps the most fundamental goals of libraries is the simple and easy access of people in the society to the required information resources, then large commercial markets and Megamalls are one of the most suitable places that enable all members of the community to access the items they need, as well as information sources, and make it possible for all members of the community to access this information in the easiest possible way without restrictions. have access to resources, And the purpose of the current research is to identify the necessity, possibility and obstacles to the development of public libraries in large and multi-purpose commercial centers of Tehran.Literature ReviewThe Logan Hyperdome Library opened on March 11, 1998. It was the first library in a business center in Australia to offer library services. It is a stand alone building outside Logan's largest shopping centre. It provides access to meeting rooms, technology and an extensive library collection. In 2014, Logan Hyperdome Library launched T.L.C. (teaching, learning, creating) entered a new era. TLC Hall It has public internet, Wi-Fi, 3D printing, a quiet reading room, and collaboration spaces. (Logan Library website)The review goes under these subheadings. The library of the Indoropoly business center has various facilities and services, as well as many activities and events. The library is wheelchair accessible and has a meeting room for rent, as well as access to a kitchen. It has a collection in Chinese and German. (Brisbane City Council) Highfields Library in the suburb of Highfields, Cruise Nest Lion Customer Service Center at Toowoomba District Council, It reported that it had been invited by mall owners to establish a library, and while the center has struggled a bit, other tenants have repeatedly requested that the library stay there, due to the number of people it has attracted. Highfields has consistently been the busiest branch of this small ship in the NSWMethodologyThis research is mixed in terms of practical purpose and in terms of approach. In the qualitative approach of the research, the method of phenomenology and content analysis with the Claysey model was used, and in the quantitative approach of the research, the survey method was used. The community under study is 10 large and multi-purpose commercial centers of Tehran, which have been measured and selected with different criteria. A semi-structured interview tool and a researcher-made questionnaire were used to answer the sub-questions of the research.ResultsThe findings of the present research show that the number of libraries around the studied commercial centers is insufficient compared to the resident population. Despite the population living in the neighborhood around the commercial centers, the high number of daily visitors and people working in these commercial centers, none of the studied commercial centers are ready to allocate space to create a library. Only some commercial centers can contribute to some of the costs of establishing and operating public libraries.ConclusionThe establishment of public libraries in Mall and Mega Mall (multi-purpose properties) of Tehran can partially compensate for the per capita lack of libraries in this city. Considering the population of the neighborhoods around the studied Mega mall and the lack of libraries in these neighborhoods on the one hand and the high number of visitors and employees of these centers on the other hand, it is necessary to establish a public library in these centers, also, the public libraries of shopping centers in terms of buildings and equipment, The target population, collection building, services and library management have their own characteristics, but the possibility of creating and establishing them faces obstacles.

The aim of this research is to study the quality of services in the public libraries of Tabriz. This applied research was conducted with a quantitative approach and a survey method. The statistical population of the study was 37931 members of the Public Libraries of Tabriz and the sample size was 380 cases that were selected by stratified random sampling. The data collection tool was the standard LIBQUAL questionnaire and its reliability in the present study based on Cronbach's alpha was 0.93. In order to answer the questions and hypotheses, descriptive and inferential statistics were used using SPSS 24 statistical software. In general, in the three dimensions of LIBQUAL, the average level of minimum expectations of respondents was 4.39, the average level of received services was 5.70 and the average level of maximum expectations was 6.68. The difference between users' expectations and the level of received services in each dimension of the LIBQUAL was not higher than of the maximum expectations. The results of paired t-test confirmed the existence of a significant difference between the maximum expectations and the level of received services by users and also the existence of a significant difference between the minimum expectations and the level of received services by users in all dimensions of the LIBQUAL. It can be concluded that although the libraries have been able to meet the minimum expectations of the users in all cases partly, but the maximum expectations of the users have not been met yet.

The main purpose of research is to determine the relationship between organizational commitment and the tendency to share knowledge among the staff of public libraries in Khuzestan province. This research was applied and using descriptive-correlational method. The statistical population of this research was all staff of public libraries. Simple sampling method has been used to determine the sample size, of which 215 were selected as statistical sample. The data were gathered using questionnaires and analyzed using the software SPSS.21.The results of the study showed that organizational commitment (mean = 78.44) and its dimensions are higher than average. Also, knowledge sharing (104 = 28/28) and its dimensions are higher than average. Meanwhile, there is a significant relationship between organizational commitment and employees' tendency to share knowledge in public libraries of Khuzestan province (sig = 0/001 = 0 / r = 0/688). Regarding the moderating role of descriptive statistics on the relationship between organizational commitment and knowledge sharing, it was found that only education corrected the relationship between organizational commitment and knowledge sharing, and the rest of the variables did not modify this relationship. The consequence is that the more these conditions become, the greater the sense of belonging to the organization and individuals will tend to share their knowledge, experiences and skills with other members of the organization.

The Aim of current research is to study the feasibility for initiating the electronic reference services in public libraries of Guilan province which are under the authority of Iran Public Libraries Foundation. This study is applied, descriptive and survey-based. Data was collected using two questionnaires based on the Orbis questionnaire and the American Library Association's evaluation tool, one of which was used for the heads of the libraries and the other for the librarians and library authorities. The research population consisted of 65 active libraries established in Guilan Province. Data analysis was done descriptively by Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The results showed that more than two third of the surveyed librarians have the necessary skills for this job and it is possible in this area. The majority of the surveyed libraries have no problems for initiating the electronic reference service with regards to the technical equipment based on the selected software used in the study, but there is a shortage in electronic databases and resources to satisfy the information needs of users. Currently, there is no special budget dedicated for the establishment and provision of such services and it is the main problem of the libraries for providing electronic services. It can be concluded that the public libraries of Guilan province are able to launch virtual reference services by providing the necessary electronic resources and databases.
